“This is a clean and modern design aesthetic going into a historic building,” said Erik Utter, president of ZTransform (formerly Utter Associates), the consultant, design and integration firm. “It’s a clean-sheet design that needs to serve the diverse needs of news and music programming. All spaces are intended to serve different stakeholders. Automation and controls will allow seamless transitions from Seattle to Tacoma studios. Other tenants above and below require fully floating studios for acoustic isolation.”
